Custom animal feed manufacturing at Valley Feed means producing tailored small-batch Kawmix Feeds in our Kansas mill with a minimum of just 1,000 lbs. This ensures maximum freshness and precise nutrition using local ingredients — ideal if you’re searching for a reliable feed mill near you.

Small-batch Kawmix™ Feeds offer fresher ingredients, full named-ingredient transparency, better digestibility, and no long warehouse storage. You get custom flexibility starting at 1,000 lbs and real cost savings without shipping markups — leading to healthier livestock and lower overall feed costs.

Kawmix™ Feeds use fresh, locally sourced Kaw Valley grains whenever possible. This improves nutrient retention, palatability, and digestion while reducing transport time. Named ingredients on every tag give you full transparency and consistent, high-quality nutrition for better animal health and performance.

Mash feed is a loose ground mix that’s economical and easy to customize. Pelleted feed is steamed and compressed for less waste, better nutrient absorption, easier handling, and improved feed efficiency. We produce both at our mill and can recommend the best option for your animals.

Custom feed milling lets us adjust protein, energy, vitamins, minerals, and additives precisely to your goals — whether for growth, milk production, performance, or health. Starting at 1,000 lbs, Kawmix custom blends often improve results while reducing waste for cattle, horses, goats, and pets.

Every Kawmix premium feed lists specific named ingredients on the tag — no vague fillers. We prioritize high-quality, locally sourced components for consistent, balanced nutrition. Clear labels help you verify quality, avoid unwanted additives, and ensure better health and performance for your animals.

Small-batch Kawmix Feeds stay fresher longer because they’re made on demand and never sit in distant warehouses. Store in a cool, dry, airtight container or bin away from moisture and pests for 3–6 months (grains longer). Proper storage preserves nutrition and prevents mold — ask us for specific tips for your setup.

A local mill like Valley Feed delivers fresher small-batch Kawmix Feeds, full ingredient transparency, easy custom orders from 1,000 lbs, pallet discounts, and no shipping markups. You also get personal service and 100+ years of combined milling experience — real advantages over national brands.
